ARB Tacoma Bumper on 4runner modification

Hey -- Well, its still not on.

I got the bumper from a guy who was involved in an accident. The bumper had one bend in it which isn't all that bad, but the frame mounts got jacked up.

I ordered two crush-can mounts, and the dumbasses sent me the same side. So, it took them 2 weeks to send it out, so I just contacted ARB last week to send some.

The beefing up of the frame rail outlined in WATRD's page looks like a great idea. I don't have a winch yet, but, I think I'll end up doing this. I hope to get a winch sometime this year... my buddy just *GAVE* away his 9000lb Warn winch to some guy. Note, this is my best buddy...but he does live in NorCal and didn't know I wanted it. Weird.

Well, I finally got the correct frame mounts.

Yep, all was easy really...
1) Cut off frame ends
2) Drill 1/2" holes
3) Mount bumper.

I have no winch yet, so I will do the boxing of the frame at a later date.

i'm going to do the hoops a little different, didn't like the way it flowed. so my bumper is gonna be along the lines of rics from the forum. also going to be doing fender hoops off of it.

4runfun do you have that line-xed or something?? that looks sick, ive only had mine for a little while and im already thinking about getting it line-x because its showing a lot of scratch marks after like one offroading trip with a lot of trees...
