Been sitting on a brand new TRD supercharger for months and finally have the time and some funds to put it all in. Couldn't believe how easy the install was....hardest part I would say was fighting the power steering tensioner.
I installed the supercharger first once I got the TRD thermostat, URD pulley tensioner and the IK22 plugs. Completed the install, making sure I didn't leave any tools laying around in the engine bay and took it out for the first run. All I got to say is I had a hard time keeping my foot off the gas pedal. Over the next couple of drives I encountered the dreaded high gear low rpm ping and learned how to keep that from happening. Even though I read through all the info on the SC, I figured I'd be set without any fuel mods but the AFR guage proves me wrong as its in 14.1-14.9 while in boost . Called up URD and placed an order for the 7th injector kit and a few goodies. The truck sat in the garage waiting for the URD goods to arrive and when it did showed up, the install took about 2 hours and the AFR is at 11.8-12s while in boost with the preloaded map. The URD kit made a huge difference in the way the SC kicks in, making the transition smoother and best of all I don't have to worry about it leaning out no more. Now I just have to find some time to fine tune it and install the 2.20 pulley.
