I come from a very practical family that wants just that. Get a "real job", make money, have kids and be a good person. Believe me, I've taken a lot of criticism for wanting to do this, and I expect much much more. I went to school originally doing a double major in computer business technology and theatre. I dropped the computer degree and instead focused on theatre and writing and graduated with both of those while working full time graveyard shift at a WinCo Foods. WinCo is an employee owned company and I already have 80k in stock there and could retire happily down the road. Will I be happy that whole time? Maybe. Yes, its a very cliche dream but its a risk I'm willing to take, that many wouldn't and that many have failed at. But you only live once.

    Will,

Go for it, don't let naysayers stop your dream. I am a product of naysayers up until about 10-15 yrs ago. If I had listened to me, I'd probably be in the Air Force and/or in a very different place. I hope you succeed, man.

I am going to be making a trip down to LA the middle of this month, should be arriving the 18th and staying for 5 or 6 days. I will be driving down with a buddy and was wondering if any of you guys are available to meet up, put faces to the names and grab a beer or something. Let me know or shoot me a pm. Should be a fun trip!
