For the last year or so we've had a problem with raccoons eating our roof and living in our attic. Tonight when I got home I heard that my dad bought a raccoon trap, put some chicken in it and put the whole damn thing on the roof. About an hour ago I heard my dad yell "I think I got it...."

Hehm, I think it would be hard to make into a pet at that age. Although racoons do make cool pets, they'r eintelligent enough to be a lot of fun!! Ferrets too, but I bet you dont find many of those in your attic.
