Just bought 97 4runner
Just bought a 97 4runner 4x4 with 170k miles. It came with zero maintenance history. The brakes squeak a little and the steering wheel chatters side to side a little when I hit bumps. Could I get some advice on what to prioritize first. I know eventually I have to do the following: change oil; change transmision fluid; replace timing belt; fix brakes; suspension/alignment?.
I can't do everything at once. If I could afford to, I would have bought a newer one. I would appreciate any input. Another thing: radiator coolant looks new, so one less thing off the list.

Re: Just bought 97 4runner
check all fluids and change those that are ugly.
check belt for cracks - if cracking change
check pads and rotors and replace as necessary.
look for warn bushings and what not - easiest is to listen for squeaks and visible tears. replace if worn. the bushings gets $$ so i'd do that last.
o and lastly welcome to uy!
