1988 4Runner. New to the board!

    Hey guys,
I've been friends with Chris (04 Rocko Taco) a long time, and he has finally talked me into getting a Toyota trail rig. I live just outside of Atlanta, very close to Chris. So chalk up one more southeast member. We went and picked up a 1988 4Runner the other day, and brought it home. It needs some serious love, and quite a bit of work, but looking forward to seeing you guys on the trail before long!!!

Pictures WILL be coming. Chris told me how Toyota guys are about pictures. lol.

He are some pics of it when i went to pick it up. It's kinda tough to get current pics of it as its kinda tight in my garage.

I keep saying i'm going to take some, and then just end up working on it. Pulled the gas tank last night, and boy was it nasty, cleaning it out is not going to be fun.

Took about 3 hours to get it on the trailer, the rear brakes were completely rusted up so we had to pull the drums off, but thankfully the PO had a skid steer and just picked up the front end so that we could get the front wheels on. That got us done in just enough time to head back across Atl in rush hour

Hey Stu, you should start a build thread in the garage section. I'll send you a link.

Stu, glad to see you'll be driving something rather than riding along. Not saying that you weren't a great beer holder at Hallowheelin.
