Thread: rear coil springs part 3 , 4 or whatever number we are up to .

    rear coil springs part 3 , 4 or whatever number we are up to .

    has anyone attemped to put jeep grand cherokee springs on the back of a 4 runner ? i know they have wheel coil springs and the high country version is another 2 inches higher than stock

    No, but that's an interesting question. As a sanity check before you do anything, you'll want to make sure the inner diameters are close to stock, top and bottom and that they at least look beefier.

    Get the spring rates to compare first, as there is a sprung weight difference between a 4Runner and a Jeep. You might end up with ineffective lift due to sag.

    also, if you find that the springs will actually work, you may want to douse them in rubbing alcohol and bleach just to make sure your 4Runner doesnt catch anything :-P

    its ammonia and bleach thats poisonous... never mix windex and bleach, no matter how good of a cleaner it becomes

    honestly, if you are looking for the best budget little lift, then you should probably just get some SDORI spring spacers. $75 and you are fine with your shocks and everything else.

    That's what I would do if budget is the goal. In fact, that's what I most likely will do with the 4th gen sooner or later.
