You guys should really read more, fire and vehicles and definitely hand to hand combat are all VERY subpar and relatively poor choices when considering zombie warfare....

the real trick to survive any attacks is chainmail. they cant bite through it.

just because you've always done it that way doesn't mean it's not incredibly stupid.

1999 4x4 SR5 4runner
http://www.ultimateyota.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=1 081.0

LARPing won't get you anywhere with zombies! :P

RockoTaco, the vehicles and hand to hand combat are just to get me to the gun storer, big 5, walmar, etc... I've read most of that book because I pick it up everytime I go to the bookstore.

It's a pretty decent book. I just figure with zombies, just like socialist presidents, you should prepare ahead of time, by the time it comes that you NEED a gun, its already to late.

I'm still working on which optic and reticle option to get. So far I'm about settled on a Trijicon ACOG green chevron and BDC but my stock sits a bit low for proper eye alignment. May have to swap the stock out... Still researching options for that. Have about resolved the issue with my bipod choice and the Sig bayonet lug conflict. On these 556's, the bayonet lug prevents any picatinny component from removal by sliding it off the rail. To remove any sliding component, the user has to disassemble the forend; whichis annoying becasue to do that, he must first tap a roll pin out and separate the two forend halves by prying at the trunion thingy. Sucks!

I want an easily removable bipod so I have to use a rail riser to elevate the bottom rail plane by 1/4 inch. Then I can slide the bipod off. I found a riser made by GG&G in AZ., but it interferes with another component. I may have to modify it.

Anyway that's my Sig 556 swat project... with all of the issues, it may be a while before I can complete this build.

    Re: mmmmMMMMMuuuHHHhhhaahahahaaa!

since you have a folding stock you should get one of these. and you dont have to slide it all the way off to take it off.

I have considered that one. I tried it on another rifle I have. I want the rail grabber feature of that one combined with the stability and durability of the GG&G extreme duty bipod.
