    3rd gen fueltank skidplate

After years of looking and finding nothing I am now building fuel tank skid plates for 3rd gen 4runners.

i saw your page awhile ago. very nice looking skids!. do you know of anyway to lift the tank an inch after a body lift and then use your skids?

The tank sits against the frame. It can't, as far as I can tell, be raised. My skid would have to modified if you did raise the tank.

Very much needed. Just received one for my 2000 4Runner. Quality fabrication. Powder-coating will be finished early next week. Eager to get it out on the trail.

Question for Gerdo: Does the skid also fit the 95.5-2004 Tacoma? I have a Tacoma friend who might be interested.

I'm not sure. I need to do some searching of fuel tank part numbers and see if they have the same tank.

I think the mounts are different from 4Runner to Tacoma. I can take some pictures of the tacoma mounting points if you'd like..

taco tanks sit up higher in the frame because they have a bed which allows for higher mounting. even 1st gen 4runners have lower tanks compared to similar year pickups
