Thread: BFG AT psi?

    BFG AT psi?

No rubbing on the uca but it rubs on the frame at full lock.

I had a set of 285/75/16s mounted on the Triclops wheels, no spacers. It's been nice so far but I had a question.

They're rated at 65psi max. What should I be running them at on the road?

i run mine between 28 and 38. i found 28 to be too low, and only run 38 in the rear when fully loaded with a trailer. generally i run both front and rear right around 34, that seems to be my sweet spot.

You guys and your dark green 4runners...

I work in a tire shop and have done a lot of math with tire inflation pressures with OEM sizes, pressures and load ratings versus oversized tires with heavier load ratings. Long story short, ~40 PSI. I personally run 55 to help on gas

Yeah, I'm at 35 right now, I think I'll go up to 40-45, I just don't want it to start wearing weird or be overly harsh.

I run 40 pounds in my Taco tires on the street. My '84 never sees over 8psi, but hey it rides on the trailer.

Thats actually the light green color. Same color as troy's, same color as sean's, but not the same color as Mike or JC's trucks.

i tried 40 once, i couldnt stand the ride...

ive gotten 35k out of my current tires, with only one wearing funny due to an alignment issue

i think i have about 5k left on them. not bad for the type of driving i do and my alignment issues.

The color is 751 Evergreen Pearl.

I decided 35 is still too overinflated. So it's around 30-32psi right now.
