    The Hamilton Wedding - 1-3 April 2011

I asked Alexus to marry me back in June of 2010, and we shared that with you. It is only natural that we share our wedding as well.

We decided to get married at the Pine Rose cabins in Twin Peaks, CA.

When we arrived on Thursday, March 31, there were still patches of snow, and significant mud around the cabins.

A few hundred yards from our cabin is where we would be wed the next day. The gazebo overhung the pond, and made for a beautiful setting for our wedding.

Throughout the weekend of festivities, everything went off without a single hitch. The only disappointment was the small cake we ordered for the actual ceremony, as it was completely undecorated. Alexus improvised, and I think she did a great job for something that would be wholly consumed in less than 24 hours.

Alexus has some amazing luck, and managed to win a drawing for her wedding dress. It was worth every penny

Here we are, the happy, nearly married couple:

We were all incredibly honored to have Dan (dhctwinotter) fly all the way out from NC to be here. You are a true friend Dan, thank you!

The entire family. from left to right, top to bottom: Dan, Uncle Bill, Uncle Edgar (Aunt Gina's husband); Me, Uncle Barry, Aunt Gina, Val, Alexus the beautiful bride, Dino; My parents in the swing.

    We obviously love each other:

and Dino was wearing the bride's nerves a little thin:

Pictures of the ceremony were left to our professional photographer. We did take some video, but that's for us, and NOT for you!

It wouldn't be UltimateYota if there wasn't just a bit of truck porn

The following day, Saturday 2 April 2011 we left the comfort of our cabins for the comfort of the great outdoors!

More information about that can be found here:

On Sunday, 3 April, 2011 we had a "reception" for the rest of our friends and family. Mexico Cafe in San Bernardino played host, and provided spectacular food as always! Cake was provided by Michelle's Bakery, and this time was properly decorated and just as delicious.

I was lucky to be joined by my long time college buddies and former roommates Cory (left) and Matt and his girlfriend Laura (right).

Also gracing us with their presents were my friends and again, former roommates Kevin (right) and John and his girlfriend Heidi (left).

Much of my family was in attendance also. Every one had a great time with great food and great company!

I feel like I should give you more information about the logistics behind this wedding. Here are our feelings about the people who provided services:

Pine Rose Cabins: Very Highly Recommended. Price was right, service was excellent, our wedding consultant Lynda Moudy was very helpful. She gave us most of the contacts below that made our wedding so wonderful! http://www.pinerose.com

Fox In The Woods Catering: Very Highly Recommended. Tina provided additional servings beyond what we asked for, and the food was absolutely amazing. Words fail to capture the tastes! http://www.foxinthewoodscatering.com/

Love One Another Photography: Very Highly Recommended. Nicole Davis was professional, and her portfolio led us to seek her out. She was friendly and quick, and outdoor weddings are one of her specialties. http://www.loveoneanotherphotography.com/

Michelle's Custom European Bakery: Recommended. The first cake was not to Specification, but the one that really mattered (for the big party) was exactly as specified. Cake was amazingly delicious, but for a price. http://www.michelles-online.com/

Mexico Cafe: Very Highly Recommended. Food is excellent, service was unbelievable! My dad has been going there since the mid 1970's, and it is a family tradition for us, one that will be continued as long as they are still in business. Price was more than fair! http://www.mexicocafe.net/

Thank you Dan for coming all the way out here to watch us get hitched in the mud and snow in the middle of fricken no where. you are truly awesome, and an even awesome-er friend!

Alexus deserves the most credit for this wedding. Everything is due to her planning and searching out great deals and spectacular people to aid us in our quest to be cement weld together our love for one another.

Here is the photobucket album with the rest of the pictures. We have many more than this, but these were the ones safe for your consumption, as well as approved by my wife. It's far too early in marriage to go piss her off.

Thanks for reading and being a part of our wedding, even though none of you were invited! (well except Dan!)

Pine Rose is such a cool spot huh? Have so many memories of out there along with the Huntington Lake Cabins.

FWIW the bow on the high lift is classic, we had someone throw the veil on mine, good times. Again, congratulations to both of you. Enjoy your time together, through the thick and thin. May you two conquer all obstacles that may come your way.
