biggest tires we can fit? aka real world tire sizes

im always looking for my next tire and with IFS and a relitivly stock truck tire selection is hairy on the upper end of sizes 35-37. im just gonna dump info ive found on tires im interested in here.

    pitbull rocker radial 315/75/16
    84 lbs
    $280

its narrower then the bias so we can run them, but its expensive with limited avalibility. also it looks like they run quite small. keep in mind these pictures are not mounted and no weight on them so they are small

    345/75/16 KM2
    74 lbs = 10 more then the 315 version
    $280
priced lower then most ~37" tires. fairly lightweight for the size.

oddball size that comes out to 35.5-36.5 depending on who you ask. "Mounted on the truck on stock rims (8" I think), at street pressure they are 35.75" tall and 13" wide. That is how big my 37" Krawlers on 9" rims were....they are just a bit wider than my Krawlers". "The 345 KM2 mounted measures 35.6 so it's technically a true 35" tire. They weigh 74 lbs, which is lighter by several lbs than the 315 Toyos and Nittos many people are running on stock axles with no issue."

    q78-16 swamper bias
    66 lbs
    $240

another odd size that measures 35-35.5 depending on who you ask "Actual measurements on a factory alloy 16x7 are (exactly) 35x10.5"

these are pizza cutter bias. thats a popular configuration around the world for offroading in general. narrow means easier to fit. tread pattern is often modified for differnt terrain

    MTR 315/75/16
    67 lbs
    $250

measure out to ~35 inches with a wide foot print. here they are copaired to a 316 km2. notice the km2 caps severly with my 7" rim compaired to the flat profile of the mtr on a 8" rim

Stolen from Jason. MTR's are high on my list. This shot shows the great height and wide flat profile.

More pics here another shot of Jasons MTR's new and below is a pic of a 37" military wrangler

    315/75/16 treadwrights
    ? lbs
    $152
a good tire at a cheap tire price. not much info on the 35" variety. the 33" version tended to run a shade large and i assume the 35 will as well depending on what carcasses they offer. Also there is no more warranty on 35"

the price gets stupid after 315/75/16 i soppose the demand is pretty low so it has to be offset, but id rather someone else paided the offset lol.

Thought I'd chime in, although I'm running a smaller tire.

I did a lot of homework on Duratracs before I purchased a set. 285/17/16 @ 58 lbs. I came home and measured 33" although they have it on paper as 32.8"

FWIW, 315/75/16 is only 6 lbs more.
