dash fire toyota camry

My aunt has a 2000 -newer toyota camry not sure yet exactly what year . what i do know is that driving down the road ., smoke started coming from behind dash and a fire broke out . she ultimatly wrecked the car trying to get out . has anyone heard of that before ?is there any known recalls ? the stereo and all dash equipment is factory

Other than the incidents I have just read about on the above posted link, I had never heard of a Camry, new or old, catching fire under the dash. Or anywhere else for that matter...
