    Crazy high Toyota resale value

I drive by this dealership frequently; 1999-2004 Tacomas with well over 100,000 miles have $15,000-$17,000 asking prices. I paid that seven years ago for a 4Runner with 50k on the clock.

Here's another thing, there are 2006-2008 Tacomas on the same lot with 30k miles and they're only asking a thousand more for those. What's up with these prices?

Personally, I am not fond of the new Toyota products, but that's me. I am wondering if there are enough people out there like me to cause prices on older ones to stay high. As the older ones get turned under under the Dana frame recall, strong demand and reduced supply keep prices high?

Id say supply and demand but there is no way in hell Id ever pay that much for a 10+ year old truck unless it had 25k on it.

That's pretty crazy. I could buy a 4th gen 4Runner or 5th gen Taco for that much, and I'd prefer one of them over an older Taco anyways.

If I ever sell my 4Runner, I should put it up for sale out there.
