2005 Lexus LX470 - Stock for now...
1998 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6 4x4 + a bunch of goodies. Lifted, Locked, Illuminated and Armored. Winner,"Best Offroad Truck" - 2010 Pismo Jamboree. It's been upside down and still drives me to work.
parking lots around the dunes are day use only.. the only overnight parking there is is in the camping area of the dunes, which you could just drive the car out and park it on the ocean side of our camp.. I've done that before and it works well, especially with as many trucks and stuff we'll have doesn't matter if you get stuck

Drive it in and beach it. We could always have Lance use Bob's 4Runner to pull it out. Lance used Bob's truck to pull out a giant beached motor home one year, good times.
*Need to figure this out, so wanna go, so little excuses to not go while we can, only hold back is a jacked up lower back and now a jacked up left shin. I wonder if I can get off work in time Friday, get home, pack, and head down.
*Still unlocked (open-open) and just got done trying to fix a pinging issue. I should just drive the damn thing. If it dies, break out the VISA card.
~Can I wait til last minute here or what? Payday is literally the 21st (last one went to bills).
You can all meet my better half and the minion. If my back gets funky who's gonna help my sorry butt back into the driver's seat since the wife still has NOT gotten a license?

On a related note on the event, we got a few sponsors sending us some swag so hopefully we'll have a crap load to raffle out like we have in the past! Keep it coming vendors! Thanks for the support.

Open-open is no problem. I think a locker would actually get you into more trouble. You can take it as easy as you want, I guess your back can stay safe.Originally Posted by Obi..
open open is only a problem if you end up crossed up in a bowl.. like I may have done the last time i was out there but we'll have enough trucks and experienced drivers out there that no matter how you get stuck someone can pull you out. I'll still be open/open this year.. hopefully that will be rectified before next year though.

Open-open was never a problem for me and even though I now have a locker I've never had the need to use it in the sand. If you're stuck, you're stuck. It's different than being in the rocks.
I had a open diff the first year with no problems, really its all about airing the tires down anything below 15 psi
