    16Ga is good to practice on. Easy as hell to burn thru or have a cold joint so it really teaches you good heat control.

    Yeah I've only welded on 1/8 and .120 wall stuff so I'm sure I am welding too hot for .060. YouTube and a book will go a long ways as well as a couple buddies I have locally.
