And heres a perfect example of a scam. Saw a nice F250 diesel super duty the other night on autotrader. Had 160k and they only wanted 8700 so my red flag went up since most in good shape with those miles are at least 10-12k. Even so I figured I had seen this truck on ebay awhile back, but i figured who knows it probably didnt sell. It also has a huge custom bumper on it and exhaust among other things which usually (believe it or not) custom stuff drops the price cause others rather a stock truck.

So I emailed them and check out the response. Its written well enough, but check out the sob story and the shipping bs? If its in NJ and 30 miles away from me like it says then why would he even mention shipping if I told him its a half hour drive from me? Also checking the phone # thru autotrader came back as a Florida #, yea ok...

There are several pictures with your house number in them. One shows it on the house and a couple with it on the curb. In a post about "Who lives in southern CA" you said you lived in Temecula. That's all one really needs. Google told me that there aren't too many "streets" with your house number so I just clicked on each one. Street view confirmed it for me when it gave a more detailed street view.

Scuba^Exactly what Mike said, I saw that a while back and thought about pm'ing you w/ a warning to be aware of how that stuff can be used by thieves. Always try to be a little vague about things w/ pics and posts. I know some folks could easily narrow down one of three places where I keep our 4Runner, but out of those places, only one is out in the wide open with the best of neighbors..Law Enforcement.

Find a spot where you can take update pics and such, one that although identifiable to locals, doesn't narrow down where they'd have an 8 hour time span to got for it.

WooHoo! We have successfully shut down both Marina and Steadfast, and it has now been put to a class-action suit in which any and all clientelle who have been affected by this business will have ample opportunity to see renumeration!




So it appears the DA&#39;s along with witness cooperation have successfully taken down both of the businesses that were the issue. As in, closed and someone has been fined and is receiving jail time. It&#39;s nice to know in some way that the time I had to put into helping worked. The sad thing is I see numerous issues where less fortunate families (migrants, young adults, others) will have been completely screwed and have no recourse.

Then again, at the end of the day, the a-hole is off the street and can&#39;t screw someone else!

Trail Ride Fail..

We went out singlespeed riding last night to get a quick spin in, hitting a section of trail in the dark. We're within a mile of the trailhead when suddenly, in the middle of a wide turn I lose traction on my front wheel laying myself and the bike right out. I got up, checked over my self really quick, noticed a gash on my shin, but since we were so close to home we kept on going, wondering what smelled so bad.


I had dog poop all over my side, a cut shin, and just wanted to get home safe. I had apparently caught this huge dog turd in just the right way and speed that my front wheel washed out.

The lesson here is no matter what, someone somewhere is always having a "Crappier" day than you did!

May your day not be as "Crappy" as mine was.

*Before anyone asks, yes, I had it torqued @ 5.5nm and aligned right. Apparently the "Shane just breaks sh!t" rule still applies here..sawtooth (non-linear) crack along the faceplate&#39;s edge. If you look closely, it follows the CNC&#39;s cut lines. Thomson needs to consider some sort of post machining heat treating IMHO.

I guess he's caused quite a few accidents by faking riders out. He's just pissed there are so many people out there (multi-use trail, peds, horses and bikes) and takes it out of the mountain bikers. There are several groups that are trying to get his attacks on film (helmet cams) but have been unsuccessful. Through facebook he found out about the quest to bust him (rangers have many many reports of "assault" and just need to find him) and he's got a lawyer because now he feels attacked. Last I heard is that there were bets on who was going to be pepper sprayed first, him or the cyclists. Many of the runners carry pepper spray because of the threat of mountain lions.

I have to agree with Ric here and I won't go into details because this is a failure thread, not a place for deep discussion over this issue, and I don't feel like it really warrants its own thread here...

But this Micheal Vandeman certainly deserves to be held accountable for his (over)reactions and violence. But also, why are there bikers here? This is the same as trucks being where they aren't supposed to be, its what gets trail systems shut down entirely.
If the sign says no bikes, then there is the answer? Should we go after them with handsaws? definitely not, but we should be keeping them where they should be, and not where they shouldn't be.

*I hope I&#39;m not the only one pissed here on this fail. If you&#39;re also offended by it, the person&#39;s flickr page is at the photo links, just delete the last numerical parts. It was initially presented as a single flag idea, and "Oh, I didn&#39;t really think people would get mad...", then found out he had a whole stack drawn up, each with it&#39;s subtle twist on the various forms, each displaying a dissentive undertone in them.

Note, I&#39;m not sure if this is a misdemeanor or felony, but it is surely pretty stupid IMHO to be doing if you&#39;re trying to gain voter, rider, and constituent support of your organization wanting to help with MTB trail access. Shane, it&#39;s nice to see that you have great pride in this country and what the flag stands for, I do as well.

As for how I look at it, we have the first amendment. Aside from how I personally feel about the flag and what it stands for, I do believe that people should have the absolute freedom to express themselves as they see fit, so long as it does not impact the freedom of another individual. This includes these images as well as even burning the flag. Once again, someone may not agree with it, but so long as it does not keep you from pursuing life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness, then if one truly believes in freedom, then one should accept that others have the freedom to do as they wish.

Thanks Guys, nice to hear we can agree on some points of things. With the BTCEB person&#39;s individual slant on the flags some have seen a "If you&#39;re not with us you&#39;re against us" mentality happening while they push some of the locals out of the limelight and express things in a manner not befitting the organization, which of course always happens in a poorly ran situation. If you drive a rig, you follow established routes, period, and why he didn&#39;t check with other driver&#39;s is beyond me. 8 years on the road you should already know the basic rules of driving, they had to be doing something illegal, or just were really stupid.

Mobile mortars are not meant to be fired that fast, firing for effect works when you have a couple mortars, but putting that many rounds through the mortar will get the tube VERY hot. When he dropped the last one in, the heat was so high, that it triggered the explosives in the round.

Well, their system has been making the same error for a while now and I always collect the information in printable and screen shot format. I'm considering how much fun I can now have with this and how many other customers of theirs would love to also know about this error.
*If you know what institution this is b/c you recognize the pics, keep it to yourself, and warn your friends in case they also had fines and credit rate changes imposed because of this stupidity in programming.

1st pic is actual viewable statement you can download or get in the mail.
(*Formerly I used paperless and will now be returning to paper b/c of this)
2nd pic is what I see on the payment page..I almost could have made an insufficient payment if I didn't know better!

So for the 2nd time now an oxygen sensor literally blew off my exhaust.

Im not sure how they are supposed to be attached since my exhaust was replaced, but it seems as if they put them on there and maybe welded the stud so they wouldnt come off.

I already had one blow off last summer and was lucky enough to put some copper RTV on it, seal it off and put a nut with some washers on what was left of the threads. A week ago the downstream sensor blew off, I go to put it back on and where the actual sensor goes broke off-looked all brittle and rusty anyways. So 70 bucks from rock auto and that ones bolted on too.

Might wanna check your sensors guys, when it happens you have like 0 back pressure and it makes it fun to drive!
