Hey guys I am new to UltimateYota but I have been a member of YotaTech for about 2 years now and just got fed up with all their BS....Anyway, I bought my 02 4runner with about 150,000 miles on it and I have about 175,000 on it now so I think it is time to replace the timing belt and water pump. I don't know if the previous owner changed the belt and pump at 90,000 miles like you are supposed to so I figure now is as good a time as any...I was doing some research and it is pretty expensive to have someone do it for you (Like $600-$700) but I am more of a do it myself kind of guy. So my question is does anyone have a write-up on how to replace the timing belt and water pump for a 3rd generation 4runner?
I have some mechanical experience but I am not a gear head by any means...yet, so I just need some guidance on what to do. Thanks!
