    Hehe, instead of starting a new thread, I figured I'll just add to this one...




    This is my first carrier I built, but made a few changes to it since backing into a boulder on the Rubicon. I relocated the HiLift jack, placing it closer in and lower.


    I had it up underneath the tire but it stuck out a bit far. In Big Bear it actually snagged a tree branch and bent the jack.

    Nice work on Joyce's carrier. I had a chance to see it in person when we crossed paths on the White Rim trail in Canyonlands. ....pretty slick!

    Argg... I really need one of these.

    It would free up so much darn space!

    Would it be possible to make a swing-out carrier which mounted into the reciever hitch, and also have supports which bolted to the frame?
