Are you driving more because you drive a green vehicle?

Here's an interesting article to read:

Definitely interesting to say the least. I've been trying to drive less and less so it's really funny to read this cuz this just never crossed my mind. It does make sense though cuz I would try to rationalize it that way too (lol). So for all of ya Prius owners, you guys driving more miles because it's a Prius?

That's the same idea as Al Gore off-set crap.
I take ant-acid to offset green house gas from my 4unner.

I bet I would if I got a Prius. I'd probably drive up to VA to see my brother more often for sure. And maybe make more long distance trips. But as far as local driving, probably not much more than I allready do. I walk to campus and work not because of gas, but because parking is expensive and limited. It's faster for me to walk then to drive in circles looking for a parking spot. I bet I would drive to the airport a bit more, but otherwise not much change in my local driving habits.

    I would.

The increase in the cost of fuel is actually making me LESS green. I subscribe to email services that tell me about inexpensive flights to the areas I need to go. So now I'm flying more than driving and my carbon footprint has gone up big-time with the fuel prices. I do make-up for it somewhat by cycling to work each day.

I drive the same as I always have.
I tired once to change my habbits.
But things come up that I can not anticipate.

If I had a green vehicle I would still drive the same one cause I drive when I need to drive.
The only time I take a joy ride is when I got to hit up trails.
