Interference Motors

THanx for the search guys, I know I could count on UltimateYota. Does anyone know which motor(s) are in a highlander ?

Highlander motors:

2001-2003 2.4 L 2AZ-FE I4, 160 hp
2001-2003 3.0 L 1MZ-FE V6, 220 hp
2004-2007 3.3 L 3MZ-FE V6, 230 hp
2008-present 3.5L 2GR-FE V6, 270hp
2008-present Hybrid 3.3 3MZ-FE V6

I also found that the 1G series (except VVTi) are non-interference.

3.5 2GR-FE V6, is it interference ?

3vz (3.0 v6)is interference, 5vz (3.4 v6) is NOT.

Sean, the 3.0 is NON interference.

22R, 22RE Not Interference
3vz (3.0) Not Interference
5vz (3.4) NOT Interference

You 3rd gen guys don't know shizzle about the 3.0

Also, I believe the 22RE is an interference motor, hence the chain and not a belt. Still trying to research that one though.

On my 3.0 with the tbelt removed, I can turn the crank all the way around without the pistons hitting the valves.

1uz-fe 4.0L V8 pre '98 is non-interference
1uz-fe 4.0L V8 '98+ with VVTi is interference
3uz-fe 4.3L V8 is interference
2uz-fe 4.7 V8 is interference (can somebody varify this, and whether or not this is VVTi or all?)

lol i have ALWAYS heard the 3.0 was interference, i can recall in my head hearing some bent valve stories from people with broken timing belts.... damn, i suck i guess...
