Nice! We should find a way to meet up so we can do a side by side. Might be nice since mine's all modded now, while yours is just beginning.

Looks like you just went ahead and did a straight exit and stuck the spare inside? If you want to see how we did mine, look here.

Also, might I suggest going ahead and pulling your carpet for a while though, here's why..After having my setup for the past few months, even with dimpling and insulating my floorboard and using a bit of header wrap, the proximity of the right header's caused some of my carpet to begin melting and sticking to the floor panel. Same with the insulating foam. This way if you have the same issue, it won't cost you a carpet like it likely has me. For my fix I'm gonna go ahead with the 4Crawler 1" body lift since it has been a part of my ultimate plan anyhow, but I would hate to not advise others of this issue. You want at minimum, 1" of clearance between the floor pan and header collector. Dimpling only gives 1/4"-1/2" before you run into issues like breaking the heater fan mounts. Besides, the 1" body lift will of course help with access to the starter, etc.

Also, IMHO, you could have skipped the welding of the ceramics, it tends to never hold b/c of the change the metal incurs.

Anyone else thinking of getting a header kit, if I had to do this over again, I would get the headers in raw finish so I could weld a set of flanges in first then send them out to Jet-Hot. When you weld everything together like above, or even when you use the slip-fit and clamps, you make it harder to remove stuff for repairs. The welds self explanatory, the slip-fit clamps dimple all the way around the pipe, making things a pain to separate. (Picture a ball of clay in your hand, now squeeze, can you pull the clay straight out anymore? )

It took about 3 hours of cussing to seperate things so the heads could be worked on, and I don't want to even know right now how bad it'll be if I have to yank my trans. Flanged headers, well, just unbolt, do your work, and half of the times you can re-use your exhaust donut. Simple and effective.

I researched my system 110%. I know about the heat problems and such. and I THINK i've solved them, but we'll find out. as for the spare, yeah its off, but in the garage... have a sound system in the back.... cant have it back there heh. also, the welding of the polished pipe. Andrew, the guy who welded up my system melted down the ceramic enough to be able to hold a weld. took him about 7-10 minutes each weld... heh
