TJ, I'll elaborate.
Being a Toyota off road forum, one would like to know, in coming to this website, that they will be able to gain knowledge on many differing topics regarding their Toyota vehicle. Now, much like any other forums, post count usually resembles length of time on the forum as well as contribution to the overall knowledge base of the forum. Over on TOF, off topic posts counted towards a members post count. The problem with that was that there were many people, that will go unmentioned, that did not contribute to the knowledge base of the forum much, if at all, who had post counts greater that many members. I don't think I need to explain why this is an issue. So I'll just say that it was decided that the off topic section would not count towards post counts to avoid having people who either do not contribute towards the "tech" part of the forum, or simply do not know anything about Toyotas except that they drive one.
