Hopping to get her in the shop by tomorrow but school stuff is getting in the way, I think I can get the diff out in at least a hour if not less with all the right tools right there
i wouldnt be surprised if you broke the front diff, get under that thing and figure it out!

Good guess Sean. I would have never guessed front diff since you can pull the axles and keep driving it. I would have guessed a hydrolocked engine...

auto locking hubs, the bearings in the spindle rely on the cv shaft for support, if they weren't in I would be loosing my front wheels quick.

Does anyone have an idea as to what 4Runners came with the 4.30 gear ratio in my generation 4Runner, I know that the 97 I got mine from was a limited but it also has an e-locker, what I am wondering is if the no e-locked 3rd gen Runners of the same time period (96-98 at least) came with the 4.30 ratio as well.
