    Sean I don't think it's the salt so much any more that does it but the liquid shut that they spray down in anticipation of a storm.
    My area surprisingly uses gravel...

    Its the liquid, its HIGHLY caustic and will dang near eat metal like acid. I kept telling those idiots on tundra solutions for months while I was hanging out there and maybe 2 or 3 understood-rest just pretended to be ostriches in the sand lol.

    Really, any vehicle thats exposed to this crap is really in for some rust no matter what as it eats the paint right off. Strangely enough after I coated my T100 I had the misfortune that winter to be going down the road RIGHT behind one of them sprayers, but the rustoleum held up great!

    Hey thanks for the input....I have been looking on Ebay at taco,s nation wide and for some reason Texas trucks are cheaper even at the dealer...I live in Iowa. Wish I was going to Texas...
